Friends for the East Cobb Park is sponsoring ARTSCAPE! Summer Camp at East Cobb Park from July 12 through July 17, 2015. The event takes place from 9 am to 1 pm Monday through Friday and features art, instructions, take home projects and more.
Activities include:
- Tie-dye draw string bags
- Watercolor journals for daily sketch adventures
- Clay turtles or frogs
- Painting birds on wood slices
- Screen printing using a variety of screens on fabric
- Nature Sculpture (style of Andy Goldsworthy)
- Indian jewelry making lesson
- Abstract Expressionist project (style of Jackson Pollock)
- Wood block print
- Terra cotta vase project
The camp is open to children entering K-6th grades.
