East Cobber Parade & Festival

The annual East Cobber Parade and Festival takes place on Saturday, September 16, 2017. The event begins with a parade that starts in the Mt. Bethel Elementary School parking lot and travels one mile south on Johnson Ferry Road to end at Olde Towne Parkway. The parade includes over two thousand participants and more than eighty groups in floats, marching bands, classic cars, and more.


The East Cobber Parade is sometimes referred to as the candy parade as nearly all floats toss candy to the crowd.

The East Cobber Festival will be held in the south parking lot of Johnson Ferry Baptist Church immediately following the EAST COBBER parade. From 11 am to 3 pm, the free festival will feature arts and crafts, local businesses, food concessions, carnival games, and an entertainment stage.

The 1 mile East Cobber parade begins at 10 am in the Mount Bethel Elementary School parking lot. The route travels south on Johnson Ferry Road, turns left onto Olde Towne Parkway.

Park in the Johnson Ferry Baptist Church North parking lot. Please remember that Johnson Ferry Road will be closed at 9:45 am! Use Woodlawn Drive to access the parking lot.

After the parade, you can enjoy live entertainment, arts and crafts, food and drinks, and carnival games in the parking lot of Johnson Ferry Baptist Church from 11 am to 3 pm.

EAST COBBER, publisher of the EAST COBBER monthly paper and the annual EAST COBBER Community Guide extends its mission of building a sense of community by establishing a hometown tradition of a community parade and festival.
