East Cobber Parade & Festival

The annual East Cobber Parade and Festival takes place on Saturday, September 9, 2023. The event begins with a parade that starts at the Princeton Lakes subdivision entrance (1223 Johnson Ferry Road) and travels one mile south on Johnson Ferry Road to end at Olde Towne Parkway. This one-mile journey features over two thousand participants, including more than eighty groups showcasing floats, high school marching bands, classic cars, and a variety of community groups. Known for its festive atmosphere, the parade is often referred to as the “candy parade,” thanks to the tradition of floats tossing candy to the crowd.

Following the parade, at around 11 am, the East Cobber Festival commences in the south parking lot of Johnson Ferry Baptist Church (955 Johnson Ferry Road). This festival features an array of local entertainment, carnival games, and a diversity of food options as well as booths from local businesses and organizations, ranging from jewelry vendors to schools, bookstores, and more.
