Parkaire Landing
The Parkaire Landing shopping center was once one of Atlanta’s original airfields. Parkaire Field was built in 1945 and was an active airfield until 1972. The airfield was replaced by Parkaire Mall, which opened in 1974 and included a large indoor ice skating rink. The mall was open for just 12 years and was replaced by the current Parkaire Landing shopping center in August of 1987.
