East Cobb is located in northeastern Cobb County, Georgia, which is part of the metropolitan Atlanta area. It is a growing community of over 200,000 residents.
Residents of East Cobb typically have a Marietta address, but are not located within the city limits of the adjacent City of Marietta. The East Cobb area is bordered by Cherokee County to the north, interstates I-575 and I-75 and the City of Marietta to the west and southwest, the Chattahoochee River to the southeast, and Roswell and Fulton County to the east. It is approximately 20 miles northwest of downtown Atlanta.
