Established in 1996, Hoboken’s bagels are baked fresh daily in more than a dozen varieties including plain, onion, sesame seed, cinnamon raisin, blueberry, sun-dried tomato, honey wheat, jalapeño, and more. Cream cheese spreads are made in-house, with flavors like scallion, veggie, smoked salmon, and green olive. Breakfast favorites include bagels with egg and ham, bacon, or sausage, plus lox bagels stacked with smoked salmon, tomato, onion, and capers. Anne’s cream-stuffed cranberry muffins and flaky croissants pair perfectly with a cup of coffee, which many locals say is some of the best in town.

The sandwiches at Hoboken are known for their generous size and fresh ingredients. Each one is built on homemade bread and comes with mayo, mustard, lettuce, tomato, and a choice of chips, fruit, or salad of the day. The Marietta features tender chicken salad with grapes and pecans, while the Hoboken combines smoked turkey breast, Swiss cheese, and honey mustard on whole wheat. The Italian Sub is a favorite with layers of ham, salami, and provolone on fresh Italian bread. Vegetarians often gravitate toward George’s Special, which piles fresh mozzarella, roasted peppers, and balsamic vinaigrette on Italian bread. The Downneck Special leans heartier with corned beef or pastrami topped with Swiss cheese on rye. The menu also includes traditional favorites like roast beef, smoked turkey, honey ham, tuna salad, and egg salad sandwiches.

During the holidays, the menu expands to include custom pies (fourteen kinds in total) along with hams and turkeys ready for baking.
