After sitting vacant for nearly two years, construction has started as of May 2025 at the former O’Charley’s location at 3550 Sandy Plains Rd in Marietta. The site is being redeveloped into a new location for the Texas-based fast-food chain Whataburger. The property has been fenced off, with initial construction preparations underway. O’Charley’s had been a fixture at that spot since 2001, before closing its doors on June 11, 2023.
