Aapka Food Adda Indian Restaurant

Aapka Food Adda Expands on Johnson Ferry Road with More Seating, More Variety, and a Buffet

Aapka Food Adda (AFA) on Johnson Ferry Road is the kind of place that pulls people in with comfort food, spice, and the faint possibility of ordering far too much on purpose. Located next door to Fat Lady Baker and behind Mzizi Coffee and Montana’s in East Cobb, the restaurant offers a wide-ranging Indian menu with both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes, plenty of seating, and the sort of setup that works for a fast lunch, a long dinner, or a table full of people who plan to “share a few things” and then immediately stop sharing.

Dahi Puri (aka Sev Puri Dahi Puri, or SPDP) is popular Mumbai Indian street food and chat snack that is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Small crispy puri shells are filled with boiled potato cubes, tamarind chutney, green mint chutney, sweet yogurt (dahi) and topped with thin sev and chopped cilantro leaves.

The menu moves through Indian street food, familiar curry house staples, and hearty plates built for serious appetites. Chaats like the Dahi Puri, pictured above, bring crunch, tang, heat, and all the glorious chaos that makes great street food so addictive. There are momos, spring rolls, paneer dishes, chana masala, biryani, fresh breads, and enough options to make indecision feel completely reasonable.

For diners who prefer a little bit of everything, AFA also offers a buffet with multiple vegetarian and non-vegetarian selections. It is a good fit for first-time visitors who want a broad look at the kitchen, along with regulars who already know that choosing just one dish can feel slightly unfair to the rest of the menu.

The Thail features two pieces of Puri, a Tandoori Roti (cut into quarters), Aloo Bhaji (spiced potatoes), 1 Curry, Rice, Papad (center, folded like a taco), Chutney, Pickle, Raita, 1 Sweet. A thali brings together six distinct flavors: sweet, salty, bitter, sour, astringent and spicy on a single plate to deliver a nutritious meal.

Inside, the restaurant has plenty of room to settle in, with booths and table seating that make it feel far more inviting than a quick stop for takeout. It has the easygoing energy of a place built for repeat visits, where one table is digging into a full spread while another is quietly having a moment with a plate of biryani.

AFA gives East Cobb diners a solid option for Indian food that goes beyond the basics. There is comfort here, but there is also plenty of flavor, texture, and heat. It is the sort of place that can turn a casual dinner plan one night into a very specific craving by the next afternoon.
