East Cobb high schools include the top rated Lassiter, Pope, and Walton High School districts, as well as much of the Wheeler and Sprayberry High School districts, and portions of the Kell High School district.
School Calendar
The school year typically starts on the first weekday or first Monday in August and runs through the Wednesday before Memorial Day. The school year includes days off for Labor Day in September, a Student Holiday/Staff Workday in November for Election Day, and Martin Luther King Jr Day in January. Five weeklong breaks take place each school year for Fall Break in late September, Thanksgiving Holidays in late November, Winter Holidays from late December through early January, Winter Break in late February, and Spring Break during the first full week in April.

High Schools (Grades 9-12)
High Schools in East Cobb include all of the Lassiter High School, Pope High School, and Walton High School districts as well as most of the Sprayberry High School and Wheeler High School districts, and a portion of the Kell High School district. Most of the Sprayberry High School district lies to the east of I-75 and I-575 is located in East Cobb. About portion of the Kell High School is located to the east of I-575 in East Cobb. Small portions of the Wheeler High School district lie west of I-75 and are not considered a part of East Cobb.
Kell High School
Since opening its doors in 2002, Kell has built a strong foundation in academics, athletics, and the arts. Named after named after Carl Kell, the school provides an extensive selection of courses, including advanced placement and honors options, helping students prepare for college and future careers. Its athletic teams are competitive, and its fine arts program is active, providing a well-rounded high school experience.
