The Kroger at Sandy Plains Centre is back with an updated look, new store features, and a few upgrades shoppers will notice before they reach the checkout line.
A grand reopening is scheduled for 9 am on Friday, July 10, 2026, at 2960 Shallowford Road in Marietta. The event will include a ribbon cutting ceremony and a special giveaway for the first 100 customers.
The renovated store now includes a new Murray’s Cheese shop, a sushi island, updated bakery and produce fixtures, restroom improvements, and additional store enhancements designed to make the weekly grocery run a bit more polished.
Kroger said the upgrades represent a $1.85 million investment in the Sandy Plains Centre location. For regular shoppers, that investment means a refreshed store with more grab and go options, cleaner fixtures, and a better setup for weekday dinner runs. Let’s just hope that they didn’t touch the 
animated display in the dairy section.
