The holiday spirit continues at Avenue East Cobb, and this time it’s all about Chanukah. Join Chabad of Cobb for a traditional Menorah lighting ceremony that brings warmth and light to the community. This special event is free, family-friendly, and a fantastic way to learn about and celebrate the traditions of Chanukah.
Fun Activities for the Whole Family
The festivities start at 5:30 PM, with activities designed to delight kids and adults alike. From games to storytelling and classic Chanukah treats, there’s something for everyone to enjoy before the big lighting moment.
The Famous Gelt Drop
Don’t miss one of the highlights of the evening—the Gelt Drop. In partnership with Cobb County Fire Department, chocolate gelt will rain down from the highest point of the fire truck’s lift. It’s a sight to behold and an unforgettable experience for the kids (and let’s be honest, probably for the adults too). Be ready to catch as much gelt as you can while it falls from above.
The Menorah Lighting
As the sun sets, the traditional Menorah lighting ceremony will take place, marking another night of Chanukah. It’s a beautiful way to experience this meaningful tradition, lighting up the night and spreading joy throughout the plaza.
